Labels, Infographics, photo manupulation, copywriting, all-in-one.

The Meat Empire

I’ve helped my brother with this company for several years now. We have plenty of products for sale and in stores. And only plan to develop more. We hired a designer to redesign the label, but did not like their typographic treatment. I fixed that, and continue to adopt the label for all products we create or need boxes for.

I also made some ads. Here are a few of the early ones.

Pink Flamingo

A friend of mine needed a design for this Ultimate Team. They provided a pretty silly jpeg of a colorful flamingo and were like, ‘something like this would be cool’ this is what I came up with.

Initial sketch before shading. I eventually felt the surrounding feathers were distracting from the main bird.

NIPPC

I had the pleasure to intern here after college in 2011, and was able to use my design skills to help them with many fun projects. This booklet was for their annual meeting. I created the imagery in Adobe Illustrator, and the document itself in Adobe InDesign.

SURF Incubator

Is the largest startup incubator in the PNW, with dozens of companies working out of their facilities, and dozens more connected to the group via partnerships or sponsorship. I was able to get some office space in exchange for media services in the early days of their downtown Seattle establishment, and this booklet, followed by a few ads, were a part of the half-year stay from 2012-13.

This was an early piece - the first after the Cafe SURF logo design, included in this piece front and center - that actually made it into the Economist online zine!

This print piece was made for SURF to advertise their event space, which can house up to 100 or so people in the Exchange building, downtown Seattle.
